About this Location

Odiorne Point State Park, 135 acres, is located on the coast of New Hampshire, near the town of Rye. It offers scenic views of the ocean, the Isles of Shoals, and the Maine shoreline. The park has a variety of habitats, including woodlands, salt marshes, ponds, and rocky shores. Visitors enjoy hiking, biking, picnicking, fishing, and boating at the park. The park also has a history as a military site, dating back to World War II, when it was known as Fort Dearborn. Today, the park is home to the Seacoast Science Center, which provides educational programs and exhibits about the natural and cultural history of the area.

At Odiorne Point State Park picnickers can enjoy sweeping views of the ocean and rocky shore. An extensive network of trails winds through the dense vegetation and traverses the park.

The Seacoast Science Center, which is located in the park, has exhibits relating to the natural and human history of Odiorne and the seacoast area (separate fee).
