North Perry Park

4449 Lockwood Road North Perry, Ohio 44081

About this Location

The 9.3-acre North Perry Village Park is located on Lockwood Road, about one-half mile west of Antioch Road in North Perry.

Amenities at the park include a baseball diamond, playground, and picnic shelter with a patio extension that sits atop the approximately 50-foot high bluff. A fence lining the bluff in the western section of the park prohibits access to the shore.

The North Perry Village Park is on Lockwood Road about a half-mile west of the Antioch Road intersection and 0.65 miles east of First Energy Corp.’s Perry Nuclear Power Plant.

The park grounds include the North Perry Village Hall, police, and zoning departments. A looping access road provides entry into the park from Lockwood Road. A second entrance is on the park’s east side near the Hemlock Road intersection and adjacent to the park’s playground equipment.

North Perry Village Park includes two picnic shelters, one of which is at the top of the bluff and overlooks the park’s 320-foot shore. The vegetated bluff is flanked on each end by deciduous trees. A wooden split-rail fence along the bluff’s length marks the boundary of parkland open to the public; use of the bluff north of the fence line and direct access to Lake Erie is prohibited due to unsafe conditions caused by the unstable bluff.

The majority of the park is comprised of mowed-grass open areas with a few trees planted throughout. Additional park amenities include a baseball field, grills, and picnic tables.
