Clear Creek Park, Wooster’s newest park, along with a playground honoring the memory of a local man, opened in 2021. The playground at the park, located along Venture Boulevard, is named in honor of 60-year-old Wesley Johnson, of Wooster, who was killed four years ago in a gas line explosion while working in Stark County. Johnson’s former employer donated $45,000 for the cost of the playground. The park includes a trail and boardwalk.
