Parking for this location is on Pettibone Road. There is a sign that says “Tinker’s Creek Trailhead Parking” and Community Gardens. Park here and walk a short distance east on the paved path along the road. Cross where the road is marked and there is a sign at the start of the trail “Tinker’s Creek Trail-South.”

The trail currently is about a half mile and paved. However, in the end, it is marked to be expanded and looks like it will connect with other parks further upstream. The current trail follows Tinker’s Creek and on the other side of the creek is an old landfill that is grass. On the other side of the path is a brush-covered hill that blocks the view of the businesses behind it. There are also some woods and wetlands at the start and end of the trail.
