The cemetery is dominated by a large variety of mature conifers and a large number of them: hemlock, spruces, pines, and many others. Cones of all shapes and sizes, tiny to large. Not many other types of bushes and plants. Homes along the east edge have trees and there are trees on the south edge that are not conifers.
There is roadside parking next to the cemetery on Farnsworth Street. Three narrow cemetery roads are present.
Some vehicle noise from Farnsworth Street and sounds from adjacent properties, but overall fairly quiet.
Good location to check for owls, crossbills, and other birds that like conifers.
Wakeman Cemetery is adjacent to First Presbyterian Church n Waterville. The entrance is on Farnsworth Street.
