Ashland State Park covers 470 acres of forest land. The park surrounds the 157-acre Ashland Reservoir, which is a popular spot for swimming, boating, and fishing. The park also has a 3.5-mile hiking trail that loops around the reservoir and offers scenic views of the water and wildlife. Ashland State Park is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day and charges a parking fee for visitors. The park has limited picnic areas with charcoal grills and tables, as well as restrooms and a boat ramp.
