Spruce Swamp is a large and pristine wetland in Fremont that provides a habitat for diverse wildlife and a destination for outdoor recreation. The swamp is surrounded by a forest of more than 1,700 acres, which is protected by conservation efforts from the town, Southeast Land Trust, and other organizations. 

Spruce Swamp is adjacent to the Rockingham Recreational Trail.
