Official WebsitePeter E. Bertozzi Wildlife Management Area is adjacent to the Squannacook River and the state Bertozzi Wildlife Management Area. The wildlife management area includes 42 acres in Groton and 14 acres across the Squannacook River in Shirley. The safety station was installed by James Roberts as an Eagle Scout project in 2004.
Activities include a bridle path, camping (with a permit), fishing, hiking, hunting, jogging, nature study, picnicking, wildlife habitat, and cross-country skiing.
