Beckley Municipal Airport is a small private, not commercial, airport. It has been birded for many years with no problems. Viewing is done from the parking area outside the fence, not inside the airport. It is the best spot in Clark County to see Upland Sandpipers in the summer, and Northern Harriers and Short-eared Owls in the winter.
Please view bird from outside the fence only.
As a major military unit and vital component of the area’s economy, the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport provides air travel and cargo needs for both citizen and business activities in the Springfield region.
The Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport is located on County Route 794 (West Blee Road), 4 miles south of the City of Springfield.
