Tips for Birding

Look north to pasture and ponds. The geese and water birds stage here during migration. At the little jetty, look south to the river.  Sometimes there are good mudflats here for Shorebirds but you will need a good scope. You can often hear or see Sandhill cranes flying over. Passerines can be good on migration. 

Birds of Interest

Sandhill Cranes, geese, ducks and swans. Shorebirds when there are good mudflats.  Eurasian Tree Sparrows. 

About this Location

There is a pit toilet here, kind of out of the way. It wasn’t maintained, the last time I checked. Casey’s gas station not too far away on HWY 150
